Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify PLC programs for industrial automation projects.
- Perform PLC troubleshooting, machine commissioning, and line support.
- Develop HMI applications and integrate them with PLC systems.
- Diagnose electrical control system faults and provide technical solutions.
- Support control panel testing, I/O checking, and field wiring verification.
- Prepare PLC/HMI backups and basic project documentation.
- Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and service support when required.
- Design control panels and field wiring.
- Prepare terminal plans, cable schedules, and BOM.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of any of the following PLC platforms:
- Mitsubishi PLC & HMI
- Siemens PLC, Delta PLC, Omron PLC, LS PLC
- Industrial Communication Protocol Basics (Ethernet/IP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, CC-Link, CC-Link IE, Profinet, Profibus, RS232, RS485, MC Protocol)
- Electrical Control Panel Wiring & Troubleshooting
- AutoCAD Electrical
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Industrial Automation Course (PLC & HMI) Preferred
- B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- B.E. – Electronics & Instrumentation
- B.E. – Mechatronics
- Diploma in Electrical / Electronics (with relevant experience)
Desired Skills

- Good communication and teamwork
- Willingness to travel around Chennai for project commissioning and customer support
Control Panel & Wiring
- Verify panel wiring before commissioning.
- Check I/O wiring and field devices.
- Perform loop checking and signal verification.
Machine Commissioning
- Install automation systems at customer sites.
- Commission PLC, HMI, Sensors, Scanners, Barcode Printers, Sensors, and Safety devices.
- Support production trials until customer approval.
Troubleshooting
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, communication, and electrical issues.
- Attend emergency breakdowns when required.
- Provide remote support to customers.
